the sound of feelings

Someone said this once, "music is what feelings sound like"; and how right was that person? Pretty damn right, I'd say. Although the lyrics to the songs I've been listening to lately don't quite reflect my feelings, they have that mellow, nice, soft rhythm you just can't say no to.
this is how good my playlist is looking today:
here is a heart - jenny owen youngs
closer to love - matt kearney
she doesnt get it - the format
the first single - the format
sweet child o' mine - taken by trees (cover)
top of the world - all american rejects
on directing - tegan and sara
you make it real -james morrison
broken string - james morrison
nothing ever hurt like you - james morrison
once when i was little - james morrison
more than life - whitley
tightrope - janelle monĂ¡e (ft. big boi)
you give me something - james morrison
cooler than me - mike posner
on your porch - the format
where does the good go - tegan and sara
if we ever meet again - timbaland (ft. katy perry)
the fool on the hill - the beatles

It looks like JAMESMORRISON is the JACKJOHNSON of this month, really digging his "once when i was little song", but nothing like "on your porch" by the format, or "more than life" by whitley.
